The client
Youturn is a national community services organisation supporting young people and families — a workforce that gives everything, led by people promoted for their care.
The challenge
Community services leadership carries a double load: the operational demands of a funded environment and the emotional demands of the work itself. Youturn’s leaders needed development that respected both, and a way to prove the investment was working.
What we did
Since 2021, four leadership programs delivered over six months, covering emotional intelligence, resilience and strategic thinking, followed by a customised nine-month program built on the 70-20-10 model. Leaders completed self-assessments before and after, measured against Youturn’s own competency framework and values, so the shift was visible in data rather than in feedback forms. Twelve leaders also went through a tailored “Leadership Legends” program combined with individual executive coaching.
