Aurizon needed the project segments to operate as one team, not four contractors sharing a site.
The challenge
The Wiggins Island Rail Project had to lift export capacity while holding safety and alignment across separate project segments — the point where most multi-segment projects quietly come apart.
What we did
Since 2019, team alignment sessions run across each project segment, a culture and engagement strategy built for the project, one-to-one leadership coaching, and engagement surveys with 360 feedback used to target the work rather than guess at it. Safety interventions were built around behaviour and real-time feedback, not posters. We continue to work with Aurizon as a project leadership consultant.
